1995:

  • Stopped the Chinese Study.


1992:

  • Exam. art. in Chinese.


1990 - 1991:

  • Studied Chinese Language and Culture at Fudan University, Shanghai, China.


1988 - 1995:

  • Studied Chinese Language and Culture at Aarhus University, East Asian Studies Department, Denmark.


1979 - 1982:

  • Upper Secondary School / High School (Gymnasium) at Mulernes Legatskole, Odense.


1978 - 1979:

  • 9 month Folk School at Egmont Højskolen, Hou.

Theatre and performance experiences.

2005 - 2008:
  • Dr. Brock performs on various occasions, including two years in a row at the Aarhus Festival and at the 10 years anniversary of the adult education association ‘være - vide – virke’.
2007:
  • Taught drama / theater at a summer course at Egmont Folk School.


2004:

  • Touring as the sole actor in the debate theater ‘Svinemusklen’ (Pigs muscle) by Kåre Bluitgen.
  • Participated in a storytelling course at Herning Folk School. Teacher Vigga Bro.


2003:

  • Touring as the sole actor in the debate theater ‘Svinemusklen’ (Pigs muscle) by Kåre Bluitgen.
  • Taught drama / theater at a summer course at Egmont Folk School.
  • Toured as an actor and co-organizer of the event: ‘Planet Mobillity - for dig der vil til tops
    (For you that wants to go to the top)’. Director Mads Nielsen.
  • Appeared at various seminars on rehabilitation with the figure: Dr. Brock - expert in ticketing.
  • Taught 2 ½ months drama at Egmont Folk School.


2002:

  • Toured as an actor in the play 'George – The Last To Go' by Harold Pinter at 4 international theater festivals: 'Meeting Place in 2000, Slagelse, organized by DATS – (the Danish Amateur Theatre Association), ‘The VII Annual International Contemporary Dance Conference and Performance Festival’ in Bytom, Poland, ‘Kracow - Cultural City 2000 Festival’, Poland, and ‘The 2nd Amateur Theater Festival El Pati’ in Girona, Spain.
  • Toured with ’Slappendales’.


1999:

  • Actor in the play ‘George - The Last To Go’ by Harold Pinter at a national theater festival in Grenaa organized by DATS (the Danish Amateur Theatre Association).


1998:

  • Actor in the absurd drama ‘George - The Last To Go’ by Harold Pinter. The play was performed 11 times at EntréScenen, Aarhus. Director Jesper Hasselstoft.


1997:

  • Participated at an international theater festival in Almagro, Spain, as an actor in a street performance.


1996:

  • Actor in a street performance group, performing several places around the country, including Skagen Festival.
  • Actor and organizer of the event ‘Svindlerformidlingen’ (the crooked jobcenter), included at Muskelsvindfondens Grøn Koncert (the Danish Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Green Concerts).


1995:

  • Actor and co-organizer of ‘Slappendales, included at Muskelsvindfondens Grøn Koncert (the Danish Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Green Concerts).
  • Started a circus and street performance group under Kulturforeningen Korona (the Cultural Association Korona).


1994:

  • Actor and co-organizer of a nationwide street theater tour ‘wheel of Swindle’, as part of PR and information about Muskelsvindfonden (the Danish Muscular Dystrophy Association).
  • Co-organizer of a theatrical, musical and dance training course – project ‘Gekko’.


1993:

  • Joined the newly formed ‘Teater- og Kulturforeningen Korona’s’ board (the Theater and Culture Association Korona).
  • Actor and co-organizer of a nationwide street theater tour ‘Prins Hjul’ (Prince of Wheels) as part of PR and information about Muskelsvindfonden (the Danish Muscular Dystrophy Association).


1984:

  • Actor and co-organizer of a nationwide street theater tour “Cirkusfantaspastisk’.

Has also participated, both as participant and organizer, in smaller theater workshops in ‘Kulturforeningen Korona’ (the Culture Association Korona) since 1994.

 

Travel third world experiences:

2008:

  • Trip to the North Cape, through Sweden, Finland and Norway. I alt 6.000 km på landevejen.Total 6,000 km on the road.


2001:

  • Helped to prepare a country review in Zimbabwe within the disability field for DH (Danish Disability Organizations then DSI - The Danish Council of Organizations of Disabled People).


1996:

  • Visited and helped to prepare a review of a developing project in Zimbabwe. The project was supported by Muskelsvindfondens (the Danish Muscular Dystrophy Association’s ) development group Muskuland, with funding from Danida.


1995 - 2001:

  • Helped to formulate a development project and manage the project that supported the building of an organization for people with muscular dystrophy in Zimbabwe MDAZ (Muscular Dystrophy Association of Zimbabwe). The project was supported by Muskelsvindfondens (the Danish Muscular Dystrophy Association’s) development group Muskuland, with funding from Danida.


1995:

  • Helped to start Muskelsvindfondens (the Danish Muscular Dystrophy Association) developing group, Muskuland designed to work with organizations in the South and help improve conditions for disabled people in the countries concerned.


1994:

  • 3-month trip in China.


1992:

  • 3-month stay in Mindoro, Philippines.
  • 2-month trip in Taiwan.


1990 - 1991:

  • 1 year of studying Chinese language and culture at Fudan University, Shanghai with a combined 3-month trip in China.


1989:

  • 3-month trip in Thailand.


1983:

  • 6-month trip in the U.S. and Canada.


During the years, I have traveled in various countries in Europe for shorter periods. Sometimes held speeches about quality of life and the Danish social system, including the personal assistant scheme system.

 

Other relevant experiences:

  • Served on the Board of Kulturforeningen Korona (the Cultural Association Korona), since its start in 1993.
  • Has served on the board of Muskelsvindfonden (the Danish Muscular Dystrophy Association), Vice President 2003/2004.
  • Held several speeches about quality of life and travels in Asia, Africa, USA and Canada.
  • Co-organizer of several courses for young people and adults with muscular dystrophy.
  • I am disabled with muscular atrophy (muscular dystrophy) and using an electric wheelchair.
  • Have helped to produce different information materials.
